Made From Agony (and with love) in NYC.

All started from a highschool dream , “Mac By MacWest ''(MBMW) is not only a reflection of my likeness and my thing for skulls and crossbones, it's a showcase of my other two crafts besides fashion design. I started out as a graphic artist in 2013 then later slowly transitioned into photography the next year. Those two are a huge part of my life not only because they helped me fund the business I have today but because they each go hand in hand as far as the “creative” aspect for MBMW. My self taught skills in graphic art allowed me to come up with designs and art for my clothes, and of course photography granted me the luxury to shoot all my own lookbooks/campaigns for the brand as opposed to paying a photographer and having to wait on someone else's time.I'd say i'm probably heavily inspired by rock albums, more specifically the covers. I love cover art of all types but rock/metal albums always had the best ones right down to the font. At first glance you can't make out the words to the title but it still looked fire and that's where the “mac logo” really comes from. Besides all the hard work and sleepless nights , I have my close friends, family, and all the people/ creatives I met online. I did have much support at home when I first started out years ago, but through those tough times they made it easier and made sure I never gave up on the days I had doubt. I encourage anyone to follow their dreams and don't give up….as cliche as that sounds it's true, i've wanted this for so long and finally got it.All you need is passion and the drive, if i had any advice its dont let anyone, not even your parents tell you that you “can't” or its not “practical”. If you have to work that shitty job for a while then its okay i've been there, just make sure you're putting double the energy into your craft.
